Wojtek the Bear formed in 2016 and released their debut album a talent for being unreasonable in 2018, followed by heaven by the backdoor in 2021. They have since played across the UK and Europe, gathering praise from listeners and press alike. The band have been featured in publications such as The Scotsman, The Herald, Clash Music and Snack Mag. They have been played across BBC 6Music, BBC Radio 1, KEXP and more. Their most recent album shaking hands with the NME was released in April 2024. It reached #2 in the Indie Breaker Chart, #5 in the Scottish Album Chart, #16 in the UK Vinyl Chart and #28 in the UK Physical Album Chart.
