Award winning Science Fiction Author Ken MacLeod was born on the Isle of Lewis, grew up in Greenock and lives in Gourock. He has a postgraduate degree in biomechanics and worked in IT. Since 1997 he has been a full-time writer. He is the author of twenty novels, from The Star Fraction (1995) to Beyond the Light Horizon (2024), and many articles and short stories. He has won three BSFA awards and three Prometheus Awards, and was a Guest of Honour at the Glasgow Worldcon in 2024.

Ken will read from the first in his latest trilogy (The Lightspeed Trilogy) 'Beyond the Hallowed Sky,' followed by discussion and Q&A, chaired by Journalist and Broadcaster Paul English.
