A message from Beth

I’m always keen to reach out and support artists in developing any existing or new projects by offering my skills to anyone who might find them useful. I also understand that sometimes as makers we need space to talk about our work in order to unlock creativity. Theatre is rooted in collaboration and I’d love to have a chat and support you if I can.

It’s really simple. You’ll get……

  • Your script read by Beth Morton
  • A notes session in the form of a virtual one to one
  • Written notes can also be requested

And all you have to do is……..

Send your script, a short synopsis (2/3 sentences) and a bit of an intro to yourself to

We aim to have scripts read and one-to-one’s delivered within 12 weeks of receiving your play.

Beth will be in touch to arrange a virtual cuppa / one to one with you once she has read your script within this 12 week timeframe.

Rules / Guidelines

Plays or ideas must be –

  • Written for the stage – but can be a play, musical, a play with songs etc.
  • Full length - by which we mean a running time of 50 minutes or more.

In some cases we will accept incomplete plays but it must be clear that the intention is for it to become a full length piece. Please contact to discuss this.

We will accept -

  • Only one play per writer per submission window
  • Early drafts of plays – whatever you’re comfortable sharing or at whatever stage you think is most beneficial to you.

* We advise against submitting a first draft but understand that dramaturgical support can sometimes be most helpful very early on in the process. Please think carefully whether this is the best time for feedback and state when submitting if your play is in these very early stages.

We will not accept –

  • Adaptations or translations of existing plays.
  • Redrafts of a play already submitted in a previous submission window.
